Tony Sentmantat

Tony Sentmanat is a Marine Corps veteran and retired Law Enforcement SWAT Operator with over 22 years of real-world experience. A lifelong practitioner of Mixed Martial Arts, Tony has extensive experience as a Law Enforcement Combatives Trainer and has been a Firearms Instructor for over 20 years. He also has 20 years of experience as a functional strength and conditioning trainer, specializing in functional fitness for combat athletes, and is an elite powerlifter holding multiple state records.

After completing his military service, Tony began his law enforcement career as a State Correctional Officer, quickly transferring to become a Law Enforcement Officer. He spent most of his career in SWAT, participating in over 800 real-world operations before retiring. Throughout his service, Tony gained extensive experience in undercover surveillance, tactical operations, fugitive recovery, and felony crime investigations, and worked on many high-profile cases with Federal Agencies nationwide.

Tony has received numerous awards, including:

In 2016, Tony retired from law enforcement to start his own business, sharing his extensive experience with the world. He has since become a public figure, featuring as a character in the video game Call of Duty, and is an accomplished public speaker. Tony travels the world teaching fitness seminars and tactical training to civilians, military personnel, and police departments. He shares his training philosophy and programs through online and social media channels and collaborates with several companies in the tactical and fitness industry in marketing, product design, and consulting.

Tony is the proud co-owner of RealWorld Strength and Fitness/KO Zone Gym in Miami, FL, where he spends most of his time training when he isn't traveling.

Who is Tony Sentmanat?

What motivated you to become a cop?

Ironically, there isn’t a big story, I got out of the marines and didnt have many options. I was in corrections for a bit then laddered over to the police. 

What was it like to be a swat officer?

It has its good days and its bad days. Good day is when you catch the bad guys. A bad day is when you work your ass off for 3 days you catch the bad guy and then he doesn’t get convicted. 

How long have you be in fitness, and one quick tip?

26 years of professional working out. Enjoy the journey because it’s gonna be a long one, and it’s ungratifiying. Its hard work, there is no shortcuts, its just consistency over time. 

What brings a big guy like you joy?

Peace brings me joy! Thats all. 

What’s next for Tony Sentmanant?

Transitioning from athlete to mentor. Mentoring in mindset and physical betterment.
